Addie’s Place CAC

Addie’s Place in Double Springs, Alabama, is Winston County’s only Children’s Advocacy Center, providing a safe, neutral space for children ages 3–18 who have experienced abuse or witnessed a crime. Serving both Winston and Marion counties, the center offers compassionate forensic interviews and counseling, ensuring each child only shares their story once to minimize trauma, while working closely with law enforcement and legal professionals. Established in 2018 and becoming an independent nonprofit in 2023, Addie’s Place is deeply rooted in the community, hosting fundraisers, open houses, and events to raise awareness and support its mission of protecting and advocating for local children.
